Berobsesi researchers to grow human organs in the animal's body

© Stall technology science-as reported by the magazine Science and Nature, research in the field of biology is being done to grow human organs in animals. This research aims to graft an organ so people who fail the kidneys, heart, liver, pancreas, or can get a new organ donor without having trouble finding donors from humans and to minimize rejection of organs due to the immune system.

Immune system organs perceive transfusion from another person is a foreign object, so that the body must consume the drug continuously for troubleshooting this immune. By growing human organs in the body of animals, scientists hope the issue of the refusal of the body can be resolved, because the early cells used to regenerate organs can come from organs they need.

When a fetus develops, each cell has the particularity to form specific organs. Suppose there is a head of the cell in the developing brain, there is a form that develops to form eyes, a nose, and so on. Scientists develop cells capable of developing into any organ. These cells are called stem cells. Scientists have succeeded in piloting the injected rabbit stem cell in rat fetus. Fetal mice that had previously been modified so that their cells are not capable of forming the organ. The mice then grows with the organs that mostly consists of cells of Guinea Pigs. Mouse is capable of living up to 2 years normally. In addition scientists have also successfully developed pangkreas mice to treat mice suffering from diabetes. Stem cell mice developed in the body of the rabbit to form pangkreas which subsequently grafted onto the body of rats suffering from diabetes.

Other experiments is to use stem cell human (taken upon a human fetus-shaped) that is injected into goats, cows, or pigs. Scientists from the Salk Institute managed to mengembangbiakkan stem cell menusia in body of pigs for 4 weeks before it was destroyed because of the ethical rules. Comparison of cell that developed was among 100,000 swine-human cells (human/pig chimera) is a human cell. Scientists still curious whether cells developed in pigs can behave normally when returned to the body.

Scientists estimate that the goat is more able to accept human cells than pigs, but pigs have organs sizes according to the size of the human organs. Scientists are also curious whether the existence of human cells in these animals will increase the intelligence of animals or give influence on the composition of the egg or sperm cells of animals.

Face the dynamics of this biology research, scientists of Islam have serious concern related to the type of animal used to mengembangbiakkan stem cell. It is given a pig is an animal that is forbidden to eat in Islam, let alone used to grow stem cell.
