MRI Pengkontras of Agent Products Company Tin

Magnetic Ressonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the ways used to detect organs in human beings to be able to diagnose the disease in which is being inflicted on patients. A very strong magnetic field (about 0.2 to 3 tesla or roughly equivalent to 1000 x the power of a regular refrigerator magnets) in the MRI scanner tool compose the compound water (hydrogen as proton is the recipient of the magnetnya stream) so that the protons can give signals to the scanner tool[2]. Development of MRI in medical field deliver new findings in the field of Pharmacology, called agent pengkontras. This agent serves to shorten the time of relaxation, so add water clarity signals received by the scanner[4].

Pengkontras agent used can be either paramagnetik or elements of superparamagnetic. The element paramagnetik can be interpreted as the power of a weak magnet, while elements of superparamagnetic is nano-sized that has properties of ferromagnetic (strong magnetism). However, the use of a publicly paramagnetik element is the most used elements, most notably the element Gadolinium (Gd)[1]. Gadolinium Metal Group belong to the Ground Rarely (LTJ), because in nature these metals are rarely found in a big way, even though the amount in Earth's crust far more than gold as well as base metals. In addition to the functions as an agent pengkontras on MRI, gadolinium much utilized for the manufacture of electronic components and storage device data.

Metal land rarely there is pretty much in monasit mineral rocks, xenotim and zircon, which is closely related to the source of the lead. So there is a chance of efficiency in the production process of Tin. To make the agent pengkontras, LTJ contained in sewage plant must pass through the initial processing of the Tin first so it is making LTJ (OH) 3 which is the raw material of LTJ-oxide which is pengkontras agent for MRI[5].

Development of Indonesia conducted for the utilization of wastes of Tin production LTJ is already good enough. One of them is has conducted cooperation between PT. Bangka Tin PTBGN-BATAN, chemical Farma and the campus and SERVED. In this same work PT. Lead role as suppliers of raw materials that will be processed by PTBGN-BATAN to produce a product so that the product can be utilized by the chemical agents pengkontras Farma, as for UNPAD incorporated within this cooperation contract role as experts to investigate the raw materials, processes and products (KemenPerin Indonesia, 2015).

Hopefully this move will continue to evolve so that it can bring progress for Indonesia.
