Benarkah Radiasi Nuklir Dapat Menyebabkan Kemandulan?

Kesalahpahaman tentang sains dan rekayasa nuklir di tengah masyarakat Indonesia sudah relatif akut. Salah satunya terkait dengan radiasi nuklir, yang dalam hal ini adalah radiasi gamma. Seolah-olah radiasi gamma dalam dosis berapapun dapat menimbulkan kemandulan sampai cacat genetik. Untuk membuktikan pernyataan tersebut, Warstek melakukan polling melalui Instagram story dengan pertanyaan “Apakah radiasi nuklir dapat menyebabkan kemandulan?”.
